Buffer Restoration Project Award
Buffer restoration is a fun way to help protect the area's waterways from pollution and erosion. By converting lawn to
landscape beds, and planting salt tolerant shrubs, trees, perennials and ground covers along the water's edge, you can help filter
pollutants and sediments from storm runoff and provide habitat and food for wildlife. For further information see the
Lynnhaven River NOW website or the website of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay/Publications.
